STB deactivates as new USFK Support Company activates

Lt. Col. Jay Land, former United States Forces Korea Special Troops Battalion commander, hands the guidon to Capt. MND and UNC repatriate Korean War remains

Ministry of National Defense and United Nations Command hosted a repatriation ceremony at U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, Republic of Korea, June 22. Service members attended the ceremony to bid farewell to a fallen hero who fought during the Korean War. 
 One set of remains was repatriated today and will be transferred to Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency for further identification.

The CIA director’s visit marks the fourth senior U.S. administration official to visit the ROK this year to gain a deeper perspective of the security situation on the Korean Peninsula and confirm the U.S. commitment to the ROK-US Alliance.
