Space Operations Command leaders visit the Republic of Korea to strengthen partnership
February 12, 2025 — Senior leaders from U.S. Space Force’s Space Operations Command visited the Republic of Korea Feb. 12 to 13, to engage with U.S. Space Force personnel and bolster an alliance with one of the service’s closest allies, the Republic of Korea Air Force. During the visit, U.S. Space Force Lt. Gen. David N. Miller Jr., SPoC commander, and U.S. Space Force Chief Master Sgt. Caleb Lloyd, SPoC senior enlisted leader, engaged with Republic of Korea Lt. Gen. Kim, Hyoung Soo, commander of ROKAF Operations Command, who led a tour of the ROK’s Space Operations Group. USFK, 8th Army Korea Conduct Combined Forces OPSEC Level II Training
October 24, 2024 — The U.S. Forces Korea and 8th Army-Korea recently held a significant training session at Camp Humphreys, South Korea including U.S., ROK, and United Nations Command forces. The training focused on operations security at an advanced level, known as OPSEC Level II. The training is aimed to equip service members with the essential skills and knowledge needed to protect sensitive information and mitigate risks in an increasingly complex and interconnected global landscape. It is an important aspect of daily lives and missions for personnel currently serving in the Korea Theater of Operation... MORE

Beall, director, USFK UCJ39 Information Operations, explained at the start of the class, during the three days, you’ll begin to learn about operations security, why it matters and how to manage a program and further explained that an effective OPSEC program improves force protection and your unit survivability. The training is aimed to equip service members with the essential skills and knowledge needed to protect sensitive information and mitigate risks in an increasingly complex and interconnected global landscape.
