A USFK contractor, who works at Camp Humphreys, tested positive for COVID-19, making this the 12th USFK-related personnel to be confirmed with the virus.
The contractor, who is a U.S. citizen, is currently in isolation at his off-base residence as directed by KCDC.
He last visited Camp Humphreys on March 24. USFK is actively conducting contact tracing to determine whether anyone else may have been exposed, and is thoroughly cleaning all the known locations visited.
USFK remains at risk level “high” peninsula-wide and is implementing all appropriate control measures, including a declared Public Health Emergency on March 25, to stop the spread of COVID-19 as prudent decisions to protect the force.
Additional information will be provided by USFK as it becomes available.
