The Tri-Command Lines of Effort: A Strategic Approach to Achieve Peace Through Strength
The Tri-Command—comprising US Forces Korea (USFK), United Nations Command (UNC), and Combined Forces Command (CFC)—serves as the cornerstone of peace, security, and stability on the Korean Peninsula. Together, these commands work in unison to deter aggression, defend the Republic of Korea (ROK), and ensure readiness to respond to any threat. To achieve these goals, the Tri-Command has developed four strategic Lines of Effort (LOEs) that guide its operations, activities, and investments.
These LOEs reflect a comprehensive approach to addressing the evolving security environment while strengthening alliances and partnerships across the region. Each LOE highlights a key area of focus that ensures the Tri-Command remains prepared to meet current and future challenges.
