USFK Dependent Confirmed with COVID-19

By USFK Public Affairs

The spouse of a United States Forces Korea contractor who recently tested positive for COVID-19, has now tested positive.

The spouse, who is a U.S. citizen, is currently in isolation at her off-base residence as directed by USFK medical personnel.

She last visited Camp Humphreys on March 31.

KCDC and USFK are actively conducting contact tracing to determine whether anyone else may have been exposed, and USFK is conducting thorough cleaning now of known locations visited on Camp Humphreys.

As a precautionary measure to protect the force as Camp Humphreys continues contact tracing of its recent confirmed COVID cases, HPCON C+ will remain in effect on Camp Humphreys.

USFK remains at risk level “high” peninsula-wide and is implementing all appropriate control measures, including a declared Public Health Emergency on March 25, as prudent decisions to protect the force and stop the spread of COVID-19.

Additional information will be provided by USFK as it becomes available.
