ROK MINDEF visits during exercise assessment
Gen. Soon Jin Lee, commander of Republic of Korea Army 2nd Operational Command, greets Australian Air Force Capt. Ralph Kettle, deputy director of Multi-National Coordination Center, during an office call at the 2OC Headquarters in Daegu, Republic of Korea March 4 as part of the annual Key Resolve Exercise. This exercise includes multi-national forces that contribute to readiness as United Nations Command “Sending States”. The Sending States are comprised of the 16 nations that provided combat, combat support, or combat service support during the Korean War and were present during the signing of the Armistice Agreement. Their contributions are coordinated through the MNCC.

U.S. Forces Korea participated in the Highly Infectious Disease Full Scale Exercise, a Korean Center of Disease Control and Prevention-led exercise Mar. 31. The exercise provided ROK and US interagency and military participants training on responding to a simulated Ebola case.
