A memorandum of understanding was signed by the USFK Command Surgeon Col. Clinton K. Murray and the Director General, Cho Nam Sun of the Korea National Red Cross on Dec. 19, 2019 at Camp Humphreys. 

2019년 12월 19일,캠프 험프리에서 주한미군 의무참모부장Clinton K. Murray 대령과 대한적십자사 본사의 조남선 혈액관리본부장이 헌혈활동에 대한 양해각서에 서명 하였습니다.

This is a culmination of a year of coordination, which will allow the KNRC to conduct blood collection drives at USFK bases and provide another sources of blood for patients across the Republic of Korea. The additional source of blood for the ROK will help to ensure enough blood is available at ROK military and civilian hospitals.  This partnership between USFK and KNRC is a demonstrations of the support, and strong commitment U.S. Service Members and families have to support the alliance through blood donation.

이 양해각서는 주한미군사와 대한적십자사가 1년에 걸친 협조의 산물이며 이를 통해 대한적십자사는 주한미군 기지에서 채취한 혈액을 전국에 있는 환자들에게 수혈할 수 있는 또 하나의 혈액 공급원을 확보하게 되었습니다.  새로운 혈액 공급원은 군병원과 민간병원에 충분한 혈액을 제공하는데 도움을 줄 것입니다.  주한미군사와 대한적십사의 파트너십은 미군장병들과 그 가족들이 헌혈을 통해 대한민국에 대한 지지와 헌신 그리고 감사를 나타내는 표현입니다.

One donation can save up to three lives.  Blood donations are needed year round, and nearly all blood types are needed every day to save lives.

한 번의 헌혈은 세 명의 생명을 구할 수 있습니다.  헌혈은 언제나 필요하고 생명을 살리기 위해서는 거의 모든 혈액형의 혈액이 필요합니다.

The first blood drive by KNRC will take place in April, 2020 at Camp Humphreys. An announcement will be made when the schedule and venue are confirmed. 

대한적십사는 캠프 험프리에서 2020년 4월에 첫 헌혈 활동을 실시할 예정이며 자세한 일정과 장소는 그 즈음에 공지할 것입니다.
