Seventh Air Force to extend Super Squadron test for second year, expand scope
April 24, 2025 — Seventh Air Force is set to extend its “Super Squadron” test for a second phase in October 2025 after recently receiving approval by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force. The extension will establish a second super squadron here, with 31 assigned F-16 Fighting Falcons. The aircraft and approximately 1,000 Airmen will transfer to Osan AB from Kunsan AB over the summer. October 24, 2024 — The U.S. Forces Korea and 8th Army-Korea recently held a significant training session at Camp Humphreys, South Korea including U.S., ROK, and United Nations Command forces. The training focused on operations security at an advanced level, known as OPSEC Level II. The training is aimed to equip service members with the essential skills and knowledge needed to protect sensitive information and mitigate risks in an increasingly complex and interconnected global landscape. It is an important aspect of daily lives and missions for personnel currently serving in the Korea Theater of Operation... MORE

Beall, director, USFK UCJ39 Information Operations, explained at the start of the class, during the three days, you’ll begin to learn about operations security, why it matters and how to manage a program and further explained that an effective OPSEC program improves force protection and your unit survivability.
