USAG Humphreys, Republic of Korea —
A USFK Soldier stationed at United States Army Garrison Humphreys tested positive for COVID-19 today.
The service member adhered to all USFK HPCON measures and core tenets, and immediately sought medical treatment after experiencing symptoms consist with COVID-19.
“The Soldier did the right thing by adhering to our core tenets by immediately seeking medical treatment when he was feeling sick,” said Gen. Robert B. “Abe” Abrams, USFK Commander.
The Soldier is currently in isolation at a USAG-Humphreys’ barrack designated to house confirmed COVID-19 case.
Contact tracing is ongoing, and USFK medical teams are actively ensuring that all known Camp Humphreys facilities visited by the Soldier are thoroughly cleaned.
Despite this confirmed case, USFK remains at a high level of readiness with less than 1% of its force currently confirmed positive with COVID-19.
USFK continues to maintain a robust combined defense posture to protect the Republic of Korea against any threat or adversary while maintaining prudent preventive measures to protect the force.
