USFK adjusts HPCON Bravo Plus measures to align with ROK policies

By USFK Public Affairs

Based on the downward trend of the COVID virus within our formations, installations and communities, and to balance mission readiness with the health and well-being of our affiliated community, USFK will adjust its Health Protection Condition Bravo Plus mitigation measures to align with existing Republic of Korea policies beginning Friday, February 11 at noon.

Authorized off-installation activities include seated dining at restaurants, indoor malls, theaters, amusement parks and festivals, overnight stays, travel to Yongsan garrison for use of the Dragon Hill Lodge, and any other indoor and outdoor activity currently authorized within ROK guidelines.

Due to the continued presence of the COVID virus threat, off-installation bars, clubs, saunas, spas, bathhouses, karaoke establishments and any facility that restricts entry to adults only - regardless of your vaccination status - remain off limits.

Travel to Seoul remains prohibited except for official duties or those who reside there.

All other travel to Seoul requires an exception to policy letter signed by the battalion or squadron commander, or civilian equivalent, within the individual or sponsor’s chain of command.

The best preventive measures to remain protected is to maintain an “up-to-date” vaccination status by being fully vaccinated, taking the booster when eligible, adhering to USFK HPCON levels and core tenets, and avoiding South Korean “hotspots” when traveling.

All USFK-affiliated individuals are reminded to adhere to all South Korean rules, directives and laws regarding COVID.

USFK will continue to monitor and assess the COVID environment, and will make additional adjustments to protect the force and our mission.
