USAG-Yongsan's "shelter in place" extended through Jan. 24, at 11:59 p.m. and HPCON Charlie reassessment postponed until Feb. 2

By USFK Public Affairs

Based on USFK’s ongoing contract tracing regarding the COVID-19 cluster at USAG-Yongsan, USFK has extended USAG-Yongsan’s “shelter in place” status through Sunday, Jan. 24 at 11:59 pm.

USAG-Humphreys, with the exception of select units and individuals, will resume limited operations, functions and services effective Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 12:00 am. USFK unit chain of commands will inform their personnel and formations if the “shelter in place” status applies to them.

All other directives for all USFK-affiliated individuals, to include prohibited travel to and from USAG-Yongsan, remain in effect as directed.

While the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Korea are moving in the right direction, based on South Korea remaining in social distancing 2.5, USFK will remain in HPCON Charlie and will make an official reassessment of our HPCON level on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
