Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program

USFK SAPR Program Goal

Sexual assaults endanger our own, violate our professional culture and core values, erode readiness and team cohesion, and violate the sacred trust and faith of those who serve and whom we serve.  The goal of the USFK Sexual Assault, Prevention and Response Program is to eliminate incidents of sexual assault through improved prevention, accountability and victim advocacy and services at all levels in order to preserve a culture of trust and respect consistent with the Profession of Arms and our core values, and to maintain the health, discipline, and readiness of the Joint Force.


  • Demonstrate leaderships commitment to sexual assault prevention and response as one of our most vital missions
  • Emphasize joint force, service and command readiness
  • Enhance leader and Service member awareness and education regarding our obligation to prevent, identify and respond to the environmental risks, predatory and high-risk behaviors and personal vulnerabilities associated with the crime of sexual assault
  • Increase unity of effort across all Services through a joint perspective and consistent application of prevention, intervention and response
  • Reaffirm confidence and trust in keeping faith with our Service members and families

Sexual Assault FY14 NDAA Provision Amendments

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for fiscal year 2014 was signed into law on 26 December 2013 and contains dozens of statutory changes to the UCMJ and other laws. These provisions implement sexual assault prevention and response reforms in the Armed Forces, enhances victim rights, substantially removes some convening authority discretion, and updates the punishments and terms of offenses.  Different provisions will take effect at different times. See attached document for a list of NDAA provisions.

  • Option 1:  Live, online support by logging on to Safe Helpline to receive live, one-on-one confidential help with a trained professional through a secure instant-messaging format. 
  • Option 2: Call the telephone hotline (commercial) at 1-877-995 -5247 to speak with Safe Helpline staff for personalized advice and support.  From on-base (DSN), dial '0' and ask the operator to patch you through to make a 1-877 call.
  • Option 3: Text their location to 55247 inside the United States or 202-470-5546 (011-1-202-470-5546 from Korea) outside of the United States to receive automated contact information for the SARC at their installation or base.
