The ROK-U.S. Alliance sculpture is unveiled during a ceremony July 10 at the United States Forces Korea Headquarters building, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea. The sculpture consists of five segments representing the U.S.-ROK alliance with the theme, “Tomorrow as One, Beautiful Companion.” Each segment symbolizes the commitment of service members, the history of the alliance, and the military branches of each nation. The main tower symbolizes the Korean War and Operation Chromite.

General Choi, Byung Hyuk was born in September 1963 and graduated from Korea Military Academy in 1985.

General Choi is currently the Deputy Commander of Combined Forces Command.

The remains of a United Nations Command service member were repatriated during a ceremony held at U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, Republic of Korea, Nov. 20, 2018. The remains will be taken to the U.S. Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency in Hawaii to continue with the identification process.

유해의 신원확인 작업이 하와이에 위치한 미 국방부 전쟁포로 및 실종자 확인국에서 진행될 것이다.
