Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ROK government agency, ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

A U.S. Air Force VC-25A aircraft and a VC-25B Bridge aircraft, assigned to the 89th Airlift Wing, launch from the flightline at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, during the Freedom 250 celebration, July 4, 2026. The wing hosted a diverse complement of joint, federal and international aircraft on its ramp and participated in the historic airshow and flyover events to commemorate the nation's landmark milestone, showcasing the flawless execution, modernization and global reach of the executive airlift enterprise.
