YONGSAN GARRISON, Seoul —
Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, commander of United Nations Command,
Combined Forces Command, U.S. Forces Korea, led a moment of silence and
offered his condolences to those affected by the Korean passenger ferry
incident during remarks at the Special Operations Command Korea change
of command ceremony at Knight Field April 17.
서울, 용산기지 - 유엔사령부, 연합사령부, 주한미군사령부 사령관인 커티스 스카파로티 장군은 4월 17일 용산 나이트 필드에서
행해진 주한 미 특별작전사령부 지휘권 이임식에서 묵념과 함께 여객선 희생자들에 대해 깊은 애도의 뜻을 표하였습니다.
At the ceremony, Gen. Scaparrotti said “I want to extend my deepest
condolences to those lost and their families and encourage all those
supporting the search-and-rescue operations.”
스카파로티 사령관은, “희생자 및 그 가족분들에 깊은 애도를 표하며 수색 구출 작전을 지원하는 모두를 격려합니다,”라고 말하였습니다.
The UNC/CFC/USFK commander has also contacted the Republic of Korea
Minister of National Defense and the ROK Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff to offer condolences and a pledge of continued support and
assistance.
