To demonstrate the ability of the combined ROK-U.S. force to respond quickly to crisis events the U.S. Eighth Army and Republic of Korea military personnel conducted a combined live-fire exercise.

This exercise utilized the U.S. Army Tactical Missile System and ROK Hyunmu-2 missile system. Missiles were fired from the northeast of South Korea into the East Sea following appropriate notifications for air and maritime safety.

The ROK-U.S. Alliance remains committed to peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and throughout the Indo-Pacific. The U.S. commitment to the defense of the ROK remains ironclad.
