Eleven USFK-affiliated individuals tested positive for COVID-19 between June 23 and 27.

Three service members stationed at Osan Air Base and two service members stationed at Camp Casey tested positive between June 23 and 27 after developing symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

Four service members stationed at Osan Air Base tested positive on June 24 and 25 after providing a screening sample during USFK’s  contact tracing following their direct contact with individuals who recently tested positive for the virus.

A USFK contractor, who works at K-16, tested positive on June 25 as part of Korean public health department contact trace, and their family member tested positive the previous day after developing symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

All eleven individuals are currently in isolation at a facility designated for confirmed COVID-19 cases at United States Army Garrison - Humphreys or Osan Air Base.

KDCA and USFK health professionals are actively conducting contact tracing to determine whether anyone else may have been exposed to these individuals and to identify and ensure all known on-post and off-post facilities visited by the individuals are thoroughly cleaned. 

Despite the recent confirmed cases, USFK remains at a high level of readiness with approximately 80% of its affiliated community vaccinated, and less than 1% of its active duty service members currently confirmed positive with COVID-19

USFK continues to maintain a robust combined defense posture to protect the Republic of Korea against any threat or adversary, while maintaining prudent preventive measures to protect the force.
