The United Nations Command (UNC), in close coordination with the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea (ROK), has reviewed and verified the mine clearance work done to date at the Joint Security Area in Panmunjom as part of the Comprehensive Military Agreement (CMA) between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the ROK.

UNC supports the ROK and DPRK's next steps in implementing additional practical measures of the CMA.
유엔사령부는 군사합의서의 추가적 실질 조치를 이행하기 위한 남북간의 다음 단계를 지원한다.
"Yesterday's UNC verification of initial mine clearance operations in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) lays the foundation for future progress on the CMA implementation," said Gen. Vincent K. Brooks, UNC Commander. "UNC will continue to work closely with the ROK and DPRK to synchronize implementation efforts on the way ahead."
유엔사 사령관, 브룩스 대장은 “ 어제 유엔사령부가 판문점에서 초기 지뢰제거 작업을 검증한 것은 앞으로의 군사합의 이행 과정의 초석을 다진것이다,” 라며 “유엔사령부는 남북과 긴밀히 협의하여 합의사항의 이행을 함께 진행해 나갈 것이다. ” 라고 말하였다.
Future potential actions may include additional mine clearance, removing guard posts, reducing security personnel, removal of weapons, and return of service member remains to their parent nation.
향후 잠재적 조치에는 추가 지뢰 제거 작업, GP 철수, 경계병력 감축, 무기 철수, 병사자 유해발굴 등의 사안들이 포함될 것이다.
