The Combined Forces Command in partnership with the Republic of Korea Ministry of Defense will conduct the annual KEY RESOLVE and FOAL EAGLE exercises after the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games.

대한민국, 서울 용산 기지 – 한미연합사 및 한국 국방부는 연례적으로 진행하는 키 리졸브 및 폴 이글 연습을 평창 동계 올림픽 이후로 실시한다.

"In the spirit of the Olympic Games, the United States and the Republic of Korea (ROK) will deconflict the start of our annual U.S.-ROK joint exercises until after the conclusion of the Winter Olympics, so that U.S. and ROK forces can focus on ensuring the security of the Games. KEY RESOLVE and FOAL EAGLE are routine exercises required to maintain the Alliance's readiness to defend the ROK," said Col. Robert Manning III, the Pentagon Spokesperson.

"올림픽 정신에 입각하여, 대한민국 및 미국은 연례적으로 전개되는 한미 연합 연습을 평창 동계올림픽 이후로 실시하여, 연습과 올림픽 기간이 중접되지 않도록 한다. 이는 한미 양국 군이 올림픽 기간 중 성공적인 올림픽 개최를 위한 안보 유지에 만전을 기할 수 있도록 하기 위함이다. 키 리졸브 및 폴 이글은 동맹의 대비 태세를 유지하고 대한민국을 방어하는데 필수적이고 정례적인 연습이다" 라고 미 국방부 대변인, 로버트 매닝 대령이 말했다.

The ROK-U.S. Alliance will work together to determine the actual dates of the exercises and will release that information upon the final decision. Key Resolve and Foal eagle are annual exercises conducted by the Republic of Korea and U.S. Forces to maintain readiness on the peninsula.

한미 동맹은 연습 일정을 협의중에 있으며, 확정시 추후 공지할 예정이다. 키 리졸브 및 폴 이글은 한미군이 한반도 대비 태세를 유지하기 위한 연례적인 훈련이다.
