YONGSAN GARRISON, SEOUL, Republic of Korea —
The Republic of South Korea Agency for Defense Development announced Wednesday that it has confirmed North Korea's responsibility for a camera-equipped, unmanned aerial vehicle found on a mountain near their border early this month.
“I think there is much to remain skeptical about until further evaluation of the flight occurs,” said General Vincent K. Brooks, commander of U.S. Forces Korea. “It is important to verify this event is not a hoax.”
USFK calls upon North Korea to refrain from provocative actions and to take steps to improve its relations with its neighbors.
