USAG Humphreys, Republic of Korea –
As of Monday, May 23, 2022, South Korea implemented updated entry requirements for off-peninsula arrivals:
All travelers - both new arrivals and returnees - must possess a negative PCR test within two days before the departure date or a negative antigen test performed by a medical professional within one day before departure; be advised that the PCR must be performed, and the certificate must be issued within the same two day period of departure. For example, if the departure date is May 29, travelers must take their PCR test on May 27 (two days prior) or an antigen test on May 28 (one day prior).
Self-administered antigen tests will not be accepted. This is a change from the previous requirement.
Children under the age of 6 (on the date of arrival) are exempt from this requirement if all other travelers possess a valid negative COVID test.
Failure to adhere to this new requirement will result in traveler either being denied entry to board the flight or denied entry into South Korea upon arrival.
