On March 24, USFK adjusted its health protection condition level in Yongsan and Seongnam Districts to Bravo, and will now expand this HPCON Bravo level for remaining districts in Area II effective Sunday, April 11 at 6 a.m.
USFK’s adjustment to HPCON Bravo for the remaining districts in Area II mirrors the ROK government’s current social distancing level 2.0 in the Greater Seoul Metropolitan Area.
USFK-affiliated individuals can now travel freely across South Korea without restriction, with the exception of bars, clubs, karaoke rooms, saunas, bathhouses, off-installation gyms and establishments that restrict entrance to adults only, which remain off-limits.
While USFK has currently vaccinated more than 47% of its affiliated community, all individuals are reminded they must follow all South Korean rules, directives and laws regarding COVID-19, including all ROK government established social distancing level mitigation measures, while strictly adhering to USFK core health protection tenets.
USFK will continue to monitor and assess the COVID-19 conditions within the peninsula, and will immediately elevate to a heightened HPCON posture or impose additional mitigation measures without hesitation if a resurgence of the threat appears within our formations, installations or communities.
We must protect the force to protect the mission.
