USFK declares Area II travel off-limits and additional pen-wide restrictions

By USFK Public Affairs

Due to the increased number of confirmed COVID-19 cases within South Korea, and out of an abundance of caution, USFK has declared that all travel to or within Area II - except for those who reside within Area II or for individuals conducting official and necessary duties - is off-limits for the next 14 days, effective Saturday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.

Additionally, all peninsula-wide, off-installation saunas, bathhouses, gyms, fitness facilities and internet cafes are off-limits to all USFK-affiliated individuals for 30 days effective Saturday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.

All USFK-affiliated individuals are reminded to adhere to all USFK core tenets, HPCON measures and ROK government and local directives.

We must protect the force to protect the mission.
