USAG YONGSAN, South Korea -- Commander of the Combined Forces Command, Gen. Vincent K. Brooks and Deputy Commander, Gen. Leem, Ho-young met with newly appointed Republic of Korea Minister of National Defense Song, Young-moo during his first official visit to U.S. Forces Korea headquarters as the MINDEF, Aug. 4.

용산 미 육군기지, 대한민국 – 빈센트 브룩스 한미연합사령관과 임호영 부사령관은 8월4일 주한미군사령부를 첫 방문한 송영무 신임 국방부장관과 회동하였다.

The visit included a ceremony honoring the MINDEF and a briefing on the capabilities and operability of the United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command and United States Forces Korea.

이번 방문은 신임 국방부장관 환영식과 유엔군 사령부, 한미 연합사령부 및 주한미군 사령부의 역량과 전력에 대한 보고로 진행되었다.

The ceremony included an inspection of the troops, a 19-gun salute and a presentation of one of the shell casings to honor the MINDEF.

환영식은 장병 사열과 19발의 예포 및 탄피 증정으로 이루어졌다.

The minister’s visit underscored the continued support of the Korean people to the Alliance and lasting friendship enjoyed between the two nations.

이번 방문은 한미동맹에 대한 한국민의 지속적인 지지와 양국간의 우정을 보여주었다.
