U.S. Pacific Command detects, tracks North Korean missile launch 미태평양사령부, 북한 미사일 발사 탐지·추적

U.S. Pacific Command detected and tracked what we assess was a North Korean missile launch at 4:59 p.m. (Korea Standard Time) May 21. The launch of a medium range ballistic missile occurred near Pukchang.

하와이, 캠프 H.M. 스미스--미태평양사령부는 5월21일 오후 4시 59분(한국표준시간), 북한의 미사일 발사를 탐지 및 추적하였다. 중거리 탄도 미사일은 북창 일대서 발사되었다.

 

The missile was tracked until it landed in the waters east of the Korean Peninsula.

미사일은 동해상에 떨어질 때까지 계속 추적되었다.

 

We are working with our interagency partners on a more detailed assessment. We continue to monitor North Korea's actions closely.

미태평양사령부는 현재 파트너 기관들과 함께 협력하여 분석을 진행 중이다. 또한 북한의 상황을 계속 면밀히 모니터 중이다.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) assessed that the missile launch from North Korea did not pose a threat to North America.

북미항공우주방위사령부 (NORAD)는 이번 북한 미사일 발사가 미국에위협이 되지 않는다고 분석하였다.
