Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft and C-130H3 Hercules aircraft land and take off as part of the 374th Air Expeditionary Wing at Yokota Air Base, Japan, July 29, 2025, in support of Exercise Resolute Force Pacific 2025. The KC-135 and C-130 serve as core components of the Air Mobility Command’s logistical capabilities, enabling rapid mobility across the Indo-Pacific region, which spans 100 million square miles. REFORPAC is part of the Air Force's 2025 Department-Level Exercise series, the Air Force’s first in a generation, designed to develop and test operations in contested, dynamic environments and strengthen the U.S. military’s ability to deter aggression.
