Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

On this week of "Around AFCENT" at the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing, Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight hosted a multi-national field training exercise that included the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps, Royal Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force.
Meanwhile at the 378th Air Expeditionary Wing, airmen from the 176th Expeditionary Fighter Generation Squadron Ammo troop, conducted an integrated combat turn routine training.
At the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, airmen from the 26th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron participate in a forward area refueling point exercise with two F-16C Falcons.
And at the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III visited to meet with senior government officials to reaffirm the US-UAE strategic partnership.
