Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, conduct respiratory training alongside Providence Caregiver Health Services and run ICU rounds as part of the Sacred Heart Medical Center COVID Response operation at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, Oct. 19, 2021. Sailors assigned to NMRTC deployed from California and Washington, in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response.
