Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter and a Puerto Rico Police aircrew rescued three CBP marine interdiction agents and two other boaters in the water off 'Isla de Cabras' in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico in the night of March 30, 2026. The rescued CBP agents courageously responded in treacherous 10-foot swells to rescue two boaters from a capsized vessel, when their vessel also capsized throwing the crew into the water. All agents and the two boaters were treated for minor injuries, and there were no other people reported missing. (U.S. Coast Guard video)
