Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

A UH-60 black hawk from Camp Robinson, Arkansas, executes a sling load operation as part of a Green Flag Little Rock 21-01 at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, Oct. 19, 2020. The sling load training exercise was the first in Air Mobility Command history to involve a Polaris MRZR ATV. Previously, this type of training had been conducted with a HMVEE and this new training will help contingency response teams react faster with lighter gear.
