Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

New York Army National Guard Col Michael Bice, JTF Javits Incident Commander along with the oldest Soldier on the task force, 1SG Damon Glover and the youngest Soldier, Pfc Luke Storman participate in the traditional Army Birthday cake-cutting ceremony with a traditional Army Officer Sabre to celebrate the 246th birthday of the United States Army on Monday June 14, 2021, at the NY State Mass vaccination site in Jacob Javits Center, in Manhattan. CSM Robert Jenks, Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Jenks JTF Javits CSM and Senior Enlisted leader for the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affair, along with Col Bice presented challenge coins to the soldiers who participated in the cake cutting ceremony.
