Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

(June 24, 2020) While some localities are easing community restrictions, commands and service members shall maintain Secretary of Defense directed and U.S. Fleet Forces Command/U.S. Naval Forces Northern Command implemented Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Charlie Minus measures that remain in effect, both on and off installations until HPCON Bravo health protection measures are set. This is to limit the spread of COVID-19 to U.S. Navy service members, civilians and families, and efforts to reduce COVID-19 exposure shall be implemented while balancing mission requirements.
