Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

U.S. Soldiers qualify with a M-4 rifle during the Eighth Army Best Warrior Competition on Camp Casey, June 1. The M-4 range is one of 20 events for the Eighth Army’s BWC and it test the accuracy of a Soldier with their assigned weapon. The Army’s minimum standard is 23 hits out of 40 targets from a prone supported, a prone unsupported and a kneeling position. (U.S. Army video by Pfc. Colton Pope )
