Col. James D. Beall, director, USFK UCJ39 Information Operations, explained at the start of the class, during the three days, you’ll begin to learn about operations security, why it matters and how to manage a program and further explained that an effective OPSEC program improves force protection and your unit survivability. The training is aimed to equip service members with the essential skills and knowledge needed to protect sensitive information and mitigate risks in an increasingly complex and interconnected global landscape. The U.S. Forces Korea and 8th Army-Korea recently held a significant training session at Camp Humphreys, South Korea including U.S., ROK, and United Nations Command forces, Sep. 24-27. The training focused on operations security at an advanced level, known as OPSEC Level II.
