More than 160 midshipmen and faculty from the Republic of Korea Naval Academy visited U.S. Forces Korea/United Nations Command headquarters on July 15, 2022. Marine Col. Kipp Wahlgren Deputy Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Korea welcomed Korea's future navy leaders. Representatives from USFK, UNC, and CNFK briefed the group on UNC/CFC/USFK’s mission, and about the vital role a strong alliance plays in protecting the Korean peninsula. Following a question-and-answer session, the midshipmen finished their visit with a windshield tour of USAG Humphreys.
