Carl Vinson Strike Group Arrives in the Republic of Korea
BUSAN, Republic of Korea - Rear Adm. James W. Kilby, commander, Carrier Strike Group 1 gives a gift to a Republic of Korea (ROK) child during a gift exchange as part of USS Carl Vinson's (CVN-70) arrival to ROK Fleet headquarters as part as a routine port visit. The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of U.S. 3rd Fleet.
