Ulchi Freedom Shield

Ulchi Freedom Shield – a combined, joint, all-domain, and interagency operating environment. This annual exercise aims to build understanding between Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, the United Nations Command, and ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), ensuring their ability to fortify the combined defense posture and enhance Alliance response capabilities against a spectrum of security threats. It will feature live, virtual, constructive and field-based training, engaging personnel from the various military services.

Citizen Airmen from the 142nd Wing, Portland Air National Guard Base, Ore. volunteer their time and service at the Multnomah County Emergency Operation Center (EOC) in downtown Portland. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the Airmen are helping to manage and distribute donations to those in need. On Friday, May 1, 2020, Oregon Air National Guard Commander, Brigadier General Donna Prigmore and Oregon National Guard State Command Chief, Chief Master Sgt. Mark McDaniel toured the facility and took a moment to recognize the Airmen for their service to the local community.
