July 15, 2009 - Good morning. I’ve now been the commander of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces in Korea for a little over a year. When I took command, I established three priorities.

June 29, 2009 - You represent a proud Korean military tradition that has served this great nation with honor and distinction for over six decades. I have worked very closely with graduates of the Korean Military Academy in my career and you are some of the finest military officers in the world.

June 24, 2009 - Fifty-nine years ago, in response to the unprovoked attack by north Korea on the Republic of Korea, the United Nations sent hundreds of thousands of troops to repel the communist invasion. In the three years of bitter fighting that followed, millions of civilians and military personnel lost their lives, or were wounded in the vicious fighting.
