The USFK J4 staff is responsible for the logistics required to support the USFK mission during armistice, crisis, and contingencies. The ACofS, J4, is the principal advisor to the USFK Commander and his staff on logistics matters. The USFK J4 staff is responsible for establishing policies, procedures for transportation, munitions, petroleum, logistics readiness and planning, mortuary affairs, maintenance, and medical. The staff also prepares, coordinates, negotiates international agreements, logistics cost sharing, mutual logistics support programs, and Wartime Host Nation Support with the ROK government representatives. The staff is directly responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Reception, Staging, Onward Movement, and Integration (RSOI), and sustainment of US Forces in the event of a contingency.
