Additional H1N1 Vaccine has arrived

65th Medical Brigade recently received additional H1N1 vaccine from DoD. All Active Duty Service Members and Family Members; Retirees and their Family Members; and DoD Mission Essential Civilians (MEC) and Emergency Essential Civilians (EEC) who have not been immunized may present to their local military treatment facility during normal immunization clinic hours beginning 1 February to receive this important vaccine. DoD Civilians must provide proof of MEC or EEC status.
Although the number of cases of H1N1 worldwide and in Korea has decreased since early December, this virus is still a significant threat especially to children, anyone less than 24 years of age, pregnant women, and those with chronic illness. The H1N1 vaccine remains mandatory for all Active Duty Service Members and strongly encouraged for all others.
