On December 12, Gen. Vincent K. Brooks, United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea, commander and his staff pose for a picture with 13 former Senior Members of the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission in the Joint Security Area, Panmunjeom.

In 1991, the first General Officer from the Republic of Korea was appointed as the Senior Member of the UNCMAC; since then, 18 ROK General Officers have served in that position.

The United Nations’ leadership continues to conduct semi-annual forums to gather information, insights and experiences from past Senior Members and support the strengthening partnership with the ROK Military on Armistice Affairs.
