Post Allowance restored

Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, commander of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, U.S. Forces Korea, announced that effective June 1, 2014, the Post Allowance (PA) for Korea is restored to the previous rate of 20 percent.  In addition, the Under Secretary of State for Management has authorized the reimbursement of 20 percent post allowance for the pay periods ending May 17 and May 31, 2014.

Gen. Scaparrotti also announced an additional State Department Living Pattern Questionnaire will be sent out to appropriate personnel, which will include U.S. government employees.  “We anticipate dissemination of the Living Pattern Questionnaire survey in mid-June,” Gen. Scaparrotti stated.  “All employees are encouraged to participate in the survey as the data it generates will adjust the PA rate in Korea accordingly.”
